Clubhouse Renovation "Phase One" is COMPLETE!!

The first phase of the Clubhouse renovation has been completed thanks to the hard work of Phil - W0FUI and Tom - NC0K.
After Shawn - W0FW finished the final sanding on the ceiling, an after breakfast clean up was held a few Saturdays ago.
With the clubhouse clean, it was time to get busy with the trim work. Recycling some of the lumber that was removed from the ceiling during the tear down process, Phil and Tom was able to cut all the pieces needed to trim the ceiling.
Prior to the trim installation, Tom painted the ceiling with it's first coat of paint. After Tom and Phil installed the trim, Tom applied the second coat and final coat of paint. This completes Phase One of the renovation.

Members attending the December club meeting were quite pleased with the project. Everybody felt that it made a huge improvement in looks and functionality of the clubhouse. The installation of the LED lighting has really brightened up the room and having an insulated ceiling has made heating the building much easier.

If you haven't been to the clubhouse to see all the hard work done by those who volunteered their should plan to attend the January meeting.

With Phase One complete, we have started moving equipment back into the building. Starting with the January meeting, we will have the HF station on the air 30 minutes prior to the meeting start time...and will run the station for a while after the close of the meetings.

If you haven't been to a meeting in a while, we encourage you to attend...and please note that the start time of the meetings has been changed to 7:30pm. Doors will be open at least 30 minutes prior to the meeting for those who wish to get on the air, or learn more about HF activity. Even if you only have a Technicians license, we can still get you on the air if you wish to make a contact or two.

Phase Two of the renovation project will begin in the spring when the weather gets a little nicer. Plans included painting the floor and walls of the clubhouse along with some exterior work.

A BIG thank you to all who help get the project to this point...we couldn't have done it without you. If you would like to help with the next phase, please let us know.
